Paul Hobson, Director of Modern Art Oxford, will ask, “Should we still be talking about art?” He will discuss contemporary art practice as a form of visual research that connects to ideas and learning in a way that is transforming the notion of art at the beginning of the 21st century.

The Wilson Lectures address ideas around culture, humanity and the role of the museum as a place for both research and entertainment. This series of lectures focuses on the nature of the exhibition across the visual and creative disciplines, with particular reference to the function of research within exhibition making as a practical activity that is not simply the domain of Fine Art.
