Sarah Brown, Curator, Leeds Art Gallery, will talk about her work with a wide range of artists and audiences, including the upcoming opening of British Art Show 8 at Leeds Art Gallery in October. She will discuss how cutting edge exhibitions alongside a major historic collection can engage local communities as much as an international art audience.

The Wilson Lectures address ideas around culture, humanity and the role of the museum as a place for both research and entertainment. This series of lectures focuses on the nature of the exhibition across the visual and creative disciplines, with particular reference to the function of research within exhibition making as a practical activity that is not simply the domain of Fine Art.

Sarah Brown talks at The Wilson Art Gallery & Museum, 3rd June 2015.
