Join us for a viewing + discussion event of work produced during Jonathan Parsons’ two week experimental residency at Hardwick Gallery, on Thursday 30th November, 5.00-6.30pm. Joining Jonathan Parsons to discuss his work will be Don Parker and Angus Pryor from the research area Practice As Research at the University of Gloucestershire.
Jonathan Parsons is known for the diversity of his practice, which includes installation, sculpture, found objects, drawing, painting and fabrication. He was selected for the British Art Show 5 (2000) and was one of the youngest artists to be included in the notorious Sensation exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts (1997), which toured to Berlin and New York. Amongst group and solo shows, Jonathan also co-curated Seeing Round Corners for Turner Contemporary, Margate (2016).
Angus Pryor is Head of School of Art & Design at the University of Gloucestershire.
Don Parker is Academic Course Leader of BA Graphic Design and Visual Communication, and Post-Graduate Research lead at the University of Gloucestershire.
