LOVE ST PETER’S, LOVE ST PAUL’S EXHIBITION TOUR AND TALKS
Friday 8th September 2017, 17:30-19:30
Exhibition open: Monday 4th September to Friday 15th September, 10am-4pm weekdays
Hardwick Gallery, Hardwick Campus, St Paul’s Road, Cheltenham, GL50 4BS
Love St Peter’s, Love St Paul’s is a collaborative project developed with residents of the area which commissioned four artists to devise a series of workshops that explored heritage through creative practice. The exhibition at Hardwick Gallery presents an evolving display of artwork and material produced during and around the workshops that will be added to over the course of the fortnight.
Tom Goddard and Year 5 pupils at Gardner’s Lane Primary School explored their connection to the area through model-making, creating the first objects for the Museum of St Peter’s & St Paul’s.
Scott Farlow and ceramicist Kate Anderson present artwork created by residents with clay dug from their own gardens and on the road with the Mobile Clay Experience.
Jack Price worked with residents of Bramah House to produce a short film shot on location in St Paul’s.
Samantha Jones (Homebaked Anfield) is exploring the baking traditions of the area, specifically Cheltenham’s legendary Dripper, in a series of talks, field trips, tastings and demonstrations with residents.
Love St Peter’s, Love St Paul’s is a MEANTIME project in association with Hardwick Gallery and Take A Part, funded by Arts Council England, St Peter’s & The Moors Big Local, University of Gloucestershire, and the Janet Trotter Trust.
