Here is the schedule for Sam’s baking project from 4-8 Sept. The project involves quite a few activities, so please email info@meantime.org.uk or phone/text 07821 268651 to book your place on the sessions you’d like to attend – all are free-of-charge.

Meet artist Sam Jones and local experts for a series of free sessions exploring the baking traditions of the area with talks, conversations, demonstrations, tastings, and field trips that will include creating (and experimenting with) Cheltenham’s legendary Dripper – all equipment and ingredients are provided.
11am Introduction to the project (history, mapping, tasting session) – with Sam Jones. Meet: Hardwick Campus, 11.00am
1-3pm Lower High Street walking tour – with local historian Neela Mann. Meet: Hardwick Campus, 12.45pm
11am Field trip and demo – with North’s Bakery, Winchcombe. Meet: Hardwick Campus, 10.30am (return transport provided)
1-4pm Test baking session – with Sam Jones. Meet: Gas Green Community Centre, 1.00pm
6pm Dripper sharing – with Art Action Group @ Adam & Eve. Meet: Hardwick Campus, 5.45pm
10am-12pm Holst Museum tour of Victorian kitchen and drop-scone demo – with Laura Kinnear. Meet: Holst Museum, 10.00am
11am Foraging on Honeybourne Line – with Dominic Thomas. Meet: Hardwick Campus, 10.45am
2-5pm Dripper alternatives baking session – with Sam Jones. Meet: St Paul’s Community Hub, 1.45pm
10am-12pm Farmer’s Market – with Sam Jones @ Promenade. Meet: Boots Corner, Cheltenham High Street, 9.45am
5.30-7.30pm Love St Peter’s, Love St Paul’s exhibition tour and launch event @ Hardwick Campus. Meet: Hardwick Campus, 5.30pm
Hardwick Campus is located by the mini roundabout junction of St Paul’s Road and Swindon Road, next to the green by Marsh Lane: GL50 4BS.
The Holst Museum is at 4 Clarence Road, Cheltenham: GL52 2AY.
Gas Green Community Centre is on Baker St, in Gas Green: GL51 9HQ.
St Paul’s Community Hub is in St Paul’s Walk, along from Hudson and Manser St: GL50 4GG.
All sessions are free. Please email info@meantime.org.uk or phone/text 07821 268651 to let us know which sessions you’d like to attend. Places are limited to 6 people per session.
Please wear clothing suitable for baking.
Children over the age of 8 are welcome accompanied by a parent/guardian taking part, please book them in too.
